Hashtag Interactive Won the Bronze at the Agency of the Year Awards 2020!

Winning big

2020 marked our first year on the awards circuit and despite having our lives turned upside down by the pandemic, we managed to bag the bronze award for content marketing agency of the year at Marketing Magazine’s Agency of the Year awards. The award was a fitting cap to the exemplary work we’ve put in for our clients.

A look back at 2020 and the year before would also show that we have forged new partnerships with a broader range of clients. We’ve had the pleasure of working with these brands to maintain strong engagement with their core audience and expand the reach of their messaging – all through digital content.

Inspiring good

One of our notable works was Maybank’s “Inspire Good” social initiative, in which the bank approached us with the brief to elevate its brand image of “humanising financial services” in a more dynamic and meaningful way. As the lead agency of the initiative, Hashtag Interactive was involved from ideation to execution. Our team used multiple digital strategies to boost our reach cost-effectively by interacting with other brands on social media, working with influencers, and championing everyday heroes whose stories inspired others to join the online movement.

We’re also proud of our work for Wildlife Reserves Singapore’s pilot initiative for children, “My Animal Buddy” programme to create interactive content for kids aged 4-10. Through content ranging from online articles to innovative formats such as chatbots and interactive videos, My Animal Buddy Programme brings the wonders of the zoo to the homes of young kids and parents to enjoy.

Committing to our people

Internally, the Hashtag family has grown and we made sure to invest in tools and training for the team. With initiatives such as BambooHR, an HRIS that helped us better support the needs of the team; more external training, in-house development sessions and knowledge-sharing, we’re better able to support the team’s needs and development.

2019 also saw our first #HashCon, where the entire crew flew to Bali, for a weekend of team building. We’ve continued #HashCon in 2020 albeit in an online setting but the goals were the same — keep the team spirit alive and further define and refine what it means to #AimForAwesome, examples of which you’ll be seeing more of as we embark on a new decade of always pushing the envelope to create exciting content.
